SOPLIB is a generic structured output prediction library for NLP.

1. installation

SOPLIB requires
  g++ version 3.4 or above
  boost library
  zlib
and it is tested on linux and mac os x.
On linux, simply run
  make
to compile the software.

2. example of usage

To use the Viterbi decoder in SOPLIB as a part-of-speech tagger,
for example, follow the instruction below:

To prepare features for pos tagging,
  cd Markov/penn_pos/script
  more example
this example contains sentences to be pos tagged (one sentence per line).
  sh run.sh > ../input
This prepares the example sentences into the CoNLL format.
  cd ..
  gunzip *.dat.gz
  ../TestMarkov -e input -v pos-vocab.dat -w pos-feat.dat -l pos-label.dat -f pos-template.txt
The last symobl in each line is the predicted pos tag.

Similar, pre-trained weights/features are provided for CoNLL2000 and CoNLL2003 tasks.
