He received the B.E. degree in 1999, the M.E. degree in 2001,
and the Ph.D. degree in 2004 from Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan.
During 2004/04 to 2007/03, he was a Research Associate and During 2007/04 to 2015/07, 
he was an Assistant Professor at Department of Media Informatics, 
Faculty of Science and Technology, Ryukoku University. 
From 2015/08, he is an Associate Professor at Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, 
Kyoto University. He has been working on speech recognition and understanding. 
He is a member of Acoustical Society of Japan (ASJ), 
Information Processing Society of Japan (IPSJ), 
Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE), 
and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
He received the 2009 Awaya Memorial Award from the Acoustical Society of Japan.
